Have you ever been in a position where you feel like God has forsaken and forgotten you? It seemed like whatever you did, nothing seemed to change! Well, praise God we don’t go by how we feel or what it seems like! We trust in the Word of the Living God - the One Who resides within us if we are born again of His Spirit - the One Who has said that He will NEVER EVER LEAVE US OR FORSAKE US (Hebrews 13:5). In fact, in that Scripture in the Amplified Version, it goes on to say, “I will not, I will not, I will not, in any degree leave you helpless, nor forsake, nor let you down, [relax my hold on you]. - Assuredly not!”

Jesus, in John 16:33, tells us that we will have tribulation because we are in this world, but He goes on to say, “BUT be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Again in the Amplified Version, this verse goes on to say, “I have deprived it (the world) of power to harm you, have conquered it for you.” We will go through some things because we are here on this earth, but when we receive God’s free gift of Salvation, and the Holy Spirit comes to live in us, we have everything and everyone we need to come through ALL things in total Victory without those things harming us! Do you remember the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego? When they were thrown into the fiery furnace which was so hot it killed those who threw them in, we read in Daniel 3:27 that the fire “had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.” They were not harmed in any way.

Psalm 37:23-25 says this, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Even when we fall, we can arise (Micah 7:8) and it’s not just in our own strength, for God upholds us with His Hand! Glory to God! Look again at verse 25, the Righteous will never be forsaken. Are you born again? Then you are righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21).

If you haven’t already, begin to listen to the Holy Spirit on the inside of you - draw on His Wisdom - be guided and directed by Him in your situation, resting in the Word of the Living God, and you WILL come through in His Victory!
